Abstract
Relaxation coefficients for Davies' lateral boundary scheme for limited-area numerical weather prediction models are constructed in such a way that, under idealized conditions, the unwanted partial reflection of outgoing waves (leaving the limited area) at the boundary is minimized. © 1993 Springer-Verlag.
