Estimating Snow Accumulation from Microwave Remote Sensing

Abstract
This study employs passive and active microwave remote sensing data to estimate the amount of snow accumulation in Antarctica. Methods for accumulation determination initially developed for Greenland are modified to allow a larger range of initial input parameters for the retrieval algorithms to match Antarctic conditions.
