Abstract
Records of the anthiine fish genus Meganthias are rare and most species are only known from few specimens. On 17 February 2012 a specimen of Meganthias natalensis, ~400 mm standard length was caught in 150 m depth about 10 nautical miles off Watamu, Kenya. This is the first record of the species from Kenyan waters. © Marine Biological Association of the United Kingdom 2013.
